We came back a little bit more than a week ago, but I've been way to busy (being lazy) to update. So, here are some pictures from our trip! Note the sand on our dog Vincent's nose! He really loved the sea, and so did I as you can see in the picture above. He also met a girlfriend one day when we hired a cottage at a farm. At first they stared at each other through the windows, but in the end we took him outside so that they could play for a while. She was adorable - she kept punshing him with her left paw! ^_^

We're leaving for Norway early tomorrow morning. I'm surprised at how much I miss Norway. We used to go there every single summer before, but now it's been like.. 3 or 4 years? (except for one night there last summer). This time we're headed for the southern part of the country, cause we've never been there. It's exciting. No mountains, which my sensitive ears are thankful for. Instead, we'll travel by the seaside! I'm definitely looking forward to visiting small fishing villages and eating shrimps. The nice thing is that we always travel by car, so we never know where we'll sleep for the night or how long it will take until we come back home. So, see you in the future!

New Moon

The first teaser trailer for New Moon is out and I'm all hyper! So, time to spread my love for Twilight, I guess. I'm very very excited because the trailer is totally kick-ass! I was very pleased with the first movie and I'm sure this one will be great too! The part when Edward leaves Bella is devastating, I'll definitely be crying rivers when I see that on the big screen in November. And one of the reasons why I'm feeling high right now is because the scene where Jacob transforms into a werewolf is puuurfect! It looks exactly the same as it does in my head when I read it! Never thought they'd pull it off, but it just looks so right! I'm waiting for the next trailer with great anticipation now!

ANGELS & DEMONS

One of the movies that I've been looking forward to the most this year is Angels & Demons. I read the book in 2006 and it's one of the most exciting books I've ever read. And since I loved the Da Vinci Code, I was sure that this one was not going to disappoint me. And believe me - it didn't. I've already seen it twice with my sister and tonight I'm going to watch it again with some friends. (Mum calls it a total waste of money, but I can't help it.)

No spoilers in here, I promise. Here's the trailer, in case you haven't seen it already!

If you liked the trailer, go see the movie. I loved how it's filled with action and that it's very fast-paced. There aren't really any slow, kind of boring parts in it at all. Even though the movie is 2 hours and 18 minutes, it feels so short cause it all happens so fast.

I know a lot of people take the book and the movie very seriously (the Vatican, for example), but honestly it's fiction so don't expect all this stuff to be real. And I know a lot of people compare the movie with the book and that they're disappointed, but I think you should see them as two different things and enjoy them for what they are. I love both the book and the movie and I recommend both seeing the movie and reading the book!Type your cut contents here.

Superfly was formed in 2004 by Shiho Ochi and the guitarist Koitci Tabo. The name comes from the song Superfly by Curtis Mayfield.They debuted in 2007 with the single Hello Hello. Koitci Tabo left the band in November 2007, a few months after the release of their second single Manifesto. Ochi Shiho decided to continue as a soloist, still under the name Superfly. Her style is mainly influenced by 70's rock music from the US and the UK.

Her latest single, My Best Of My Life, will be released on May 13th.

I fell in love with Superfly in May last year when I downloaded her album, Superfly. I was so amazed by her fantastic voice and I really enjoyed all of the songs on the album so if you're interested I really think that you should download it. There's always a cat sitting outside our local supermarket. Today, when we went shopping, I stayed in the car with the window open. The sun was shining and everyone seemed to be in a happy mood. I like to people-watch so I kept my eyes and ears open. Every single person going into or coming out of the supermarket stopped to look at the cat, pat the cat or talk to the cat. People that didn't know each other even started talking to each other about the cat. Such a cute little celebrity. One old man told a young woman that he goes betting everyday at the supermarket and that the cat is sitting outside almost every single day.

Tea Cup

I'm trying to get back into writing again. I love to write, but for the last couple of years I've had a loss of inspiration and I've never taken my time to sit down and write. So, I've decided to start writing hopefully at least once a month and I'm taking inspiration from song titles. Note that the stories I write are inspired by the title, not the lyrics. Here's my first story inspired by Gackt's Tea Cup.

Dear Diary,

The world is like a cup of tea. It comes in all sorts of flavors and colors. Some sweet, some bitter. Some green, some black. Some are satisfying while others disgust you. Some people love all kinds of tea while others doesn't like tea at all.
     This might seem confusing to you, but then again, maybe this part of the world, the written part, isn't your cup of tea. If you still want to know what I mean, let me explain:
     Our world is built on a lot of different things. There's love, there's hate, there's life and there's death. There are good things and there are bad things. What I'm trying to say is that people are attracted to different things. Some enjoy the good side while others enjoy the dark side. It all depends on our taste, our personal taste. It's hard to change your taste, but with some practice you'll get used to it. And if you don't want to change, you don't have to.
     For all of those who believe that the world is good and those who believe that it's bad: YOU'RE WRONG. There'll always be different teas, although some might vanish and some new might appear.

Against the law

I'm so mad at the new IPRED-law. In my opinion, the only thing it does is that it scares people. I'm sure less people are downloading today, but that won't make any huge difference for the artists, movie companies, record companies.. Just because we don't dare to download it doesn't mean that we'll go and buy everything instead and the reason is MONEY.

There's no way I'll be able to buy all the music I listen to or all the movies I watch. I'm already broke most of the time because I try to be a good girl and buy as much as possible. The new law won't give me more money so they won't gain anything on this. I've got 2000 songs on my iPod and about 130 artists. It would cost me millions to buy all that music. A lot of people I know buy as much as they can, but they can't do more than that.

For me, downloading works as a promotion. If I download an album or a movie that I really really like there'll be a bigger chance that I buy it than if I haven't heard the song or seen more than a short trailer.

What I think we need is not a stupid law that won't make a difference. What we need is a change of the prices and easier ways to get access to the movies, music or whatever it is that we want.

I know that a lot of people that have been buying at least a bit every month before, are protesting now through not buying anything at all. So that means that the companies might lose more than they gain on this. I wonder if they really thought this damn law through before it came into force...

Beauty and the Beast

I read an interesting post over at the princess portal today and it's been on my mind all day.

Do Princesses have to be Beautiful?

I can totally understand how Morgan is feeling because I'm kind of in the same situation and sometimes I find it very hard to appreciate myself. I've got a million flaws that bothers me, but I've learnt to look beyond that.

In my early teens I got a really bad acne and that, as well as a lot of others things around me, really affected my self-confidence very badly. I became more and more unsure of myself when I kept comparing myself to other people. I also became an outsider, losing all of my beloved friends of a reason that remains unknown to me even today. When I was younger I used to always smile and laugh and I had so many friends that they were always fighting about who was going to hang out with me.

Everything changed in my teens. I was lonely, I was sad and I was lost. I don't know how many times I thought about taking my own life in order to get rid of it all. Of course I had fun at times too, don't get me wrong, but over all I was a very miserable person. Once when I was waiting for a class to begin I caught a glimpse of my reflection in a mirror in someones locker and I was devastated when I realized how horrible I looked. My face was completely expressionless and I looked dead.

It's all changed now though, especially in the last one and a half year. I don't really know what happened. Maybe it was my new friends in my new school. They really make me feel happy about who I am, because they're the kind of people who totally accepts people the way they are. Also, I thinks it's thanks to the princess portal. Princess Skye's wonderful posts have really inspired me to become a better, more positive person.

Now I smile at myself every time I look in the mirror, completely spontaneously! My acne is still bothering me, but I try to focus on the things I like about myself instead: my personality, my eyes, my lips, my smile and so on. I also think much more positively about other people. I always look at the beauty in them instead of judging them. Because after all, beauty exists in all sorts of shapes and everybody possess it in one way or another.

Farewell braces

Tomorrow is a day I've not been looking forward to: the day when I will have to say farewell to my beloved braces. I would never have dreamed that I'd like them so much. It feels like I'm losing a part of my personality or something. I can't imagine what I'll look like or how it feels. Must feel very empty. I will be wearing those plastic night things and I will have some metal on the inside of my lower teeth so I won't be completely abandoned. The thing I regret most is: being a coward and only using freaking white bands. I should have picked red or pink sometimes. I saw a girl in Thailand with red and it was so pretty! Too late for me now though! (>_<)p

Book sale

Tomorrow is the day I've been longing for since.. well, since last time: the beginning of the annual book sale. School doesn't start until 10.10 AM tomorrow, so mum and I are headed to the bookshop and the supermarket at 8.00. I'm sooo excited! As usual I'm not planning to buy any specific books, but I end up with a ton anyway. Can't resist cheap books. And I'm really good at wasting money on books. I have this big need of owning all good books I read. Borrowing books at the library is hard for me. Oh, I just remembered, I am planning to buy that book by Joanne Harris (not sure what the english title is, I think it's Blackberry Wine, yes I do have a bad memory today). She's a great author and I can really recommend her books. I have both Chocolat and Five Quarters of the Orange and they're freaking awesome! Especially Chocolat. If you've seen the movie you should read the book too. You won't regret it, I promise!

Macaroons

I tried to make macaroons the a few days ago. Sadly, they don't look a lot like the picture above. First of all, the recipe was quite confusing. Secondly, I was way to tired to concentrate. And thirdly, we had ran out of red food colouring so I tried to make them blue instead, but they ended up being sort of alien green. They're delicious though so I will try again some time and make sure that I read the recipe carefully and that I have all the ingredients before I begin.

Winterland

Today we're leaving for our summer cottage where we are going to spend a few days since there's no school next week. There's lots of snow outside and the sun is shining so the weather is perfect. Finally, I'm gonna be able to just relax and have fun (I'm leaving all my homework at home ^__^)! We'll go skiing, play in the snow, go for long walks and go by kick-sled. Sadly, it seems like the ice on the lake isn't flat enough for skating.

Since we were in Thailand during the christmas holidays, we didn't have time to enjoy the snow so it feels good to be able to do it now. And the cottage is so cozy. We're going to sleep on the floor all four of us and our dog and we're going to play Monopoly and watch movies and read and... It's going to be so much fun! My boring little brother is staying at home, though. He doesn't know what he's missing. What a loser! (sorry!)

Ett Drömspel

Today I went to Linköping to watch Ett Drömspel (A Dreamplay) by August Strindberg. At first, we were meant to watch it with our class but our teacher wasn't able to get enough tickets so she gave those who wanted to go in their free time the chance to do that. All for free. Our school paid for both the tickets and the bus. Lucky. I can't believe how expensive the bus to Linköping is nowadays. Which is really bad for us, because our cinema has stopped showing good movies so we always have to go all the way to Linköping.

Now, back to the subject! It was absolutely an amazing play! I loved every single part of it. Agnes, the daughter of the god Indra, comes to our planet believing that it's a beautiful place, but it turns out to be filled with complaint and she has to make a journey through time to find out the truth about the world.

I didn't really expect the time changes. It started out at 1900 and went all the way to 1980 or something. And hey, right before the break, they had a hilarious ketchup-fight. The stage ended up all covered in ketchup and so did the actors. I think everyone in the audience wanted to join them. Me and my friends really want to have one ourselves some time.

Another thing I really loved was that the scene got completely covered with water after the break. It was so incredibly beautiful to see them walking around in the water. And in the middle of everything, a man came up through the water from a whole in the floor. I really wonder how they did that. Maybe that had a small tank underneath the scene, that he could swim up through? I've no idea.

I'm finally back online! Actually, I bought a laptop last month and it was so worth it! Now I never have to fight over the computers with my siblings again. To bad though, that I'd been saving up for more than half a year and now I'm almost broke. Anyway, I haven't written since that day in Thailand.. when was that? The end of december? Feels like a hundred years ago to me.

Well, since I'll be able to spend more time online in the future, I'm also planning on blogging a bit more than before. I don't really care if anyone reads this or not, because I'm really doing it more for my own sake. I've promised myself to skip all the nonsense, blah blah, rubbish posts which, sadly, seems to be my area of expertise.

I found this awesome layout at neskaya.net and it feels like it fits me perfectly right now. At first I wanted to make my own layout, but I don't have enough time or energy and all my other self-made layouts have been crap compared to this one! I've totally fallen in love with the cute girl as well. Isn't she adorable?
